How do I care for my flowers once I bring them home?
We include simple flower care tips with every bunch, but here’s a quick rundown:
- Trim the stems on an angle before placing them in water
- Use a clean vase with fresh water
- Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat
- Change the water every couple of days
Your blooms are grown with love and without harsh chemicals, so treat them gently and they’ll return the favour!
When are your flowers picked?
Our flowers are picked fresh from the farm either the day before or the morning of delivery. We harvest early to make sure your blooms last as long as possible in the vase.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to Heathcote, Axedale and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your area, feel free to reach out – we’ll do our best to help!
Why do you only deliver on Fridays and Saturdays?
Que Sera Estate is run with a whole lot of heart – and a second job! Friday and Saturday deliveries allow us to balance life and farming while still making sure your blooms get to you fresh and full of joy.
Can I pick up my flowers?
We don’t currently offer on-farm pickup, but you can find our farm bunches at Rise and Grind Cafe in Axedale if you're on the run. Pop in for a coffee and grab some fresh blooms while you’re there!
Do you offer flower subscriptions?
Not just yet – but we’re working on it! If you’d like to be the first to know when subscriptions become available, join our mailing list or follow us on social media.
Do you do weddings?
We don’t offer wedding floristry or styling – weddings take a special kind of magic and expertise that’s outside the scope of our little farm. That said, we’re more than happy to supply seasonal blooms if you’d like to DIY or if your florist is using locally grown flowers. Reach out early so we can plan with the seasons.
Do you offer wholesale flowers?
Yes! If you’re a florist, stylist, or business looking for seasonal, locally grown flowers, we’d love to work with you. Send us a message and we’ll provide a current availability list.
Do you take colour or style requests?
Our bunches are “grower’s choice,” which means they reflect what’s blooming naturally on the farm each week. If you’re after something specific, feel free to reach out – we’ll do our best to help, but we can’t promise anything out of season.
Why do bunches change each week?
All our flowers are grown right here at Que Sera Estate and follow the rhythm of the seasons. That means no two weeks are the same – and that’s part of the magic! We’ll always choose the freshest, most beautiful blooms on the farm to include in your bunch.
Do you do farm tours?
At this stage, we don’t offer farm tours. Que Sera Estate is a working flower farm, and we’re not currently set up for visitors. But we love sharing behind-the-scenes moments on our Instagram and Facebook pages, so be sure to follow along!
What if I missed out on the dahlia tuber variety I was after?
We’re only a small flower farm, and we grow a select range of dahlia varieties each season. Some of our tubers are in limited supply and can sell out quickly. It takes time to build up a really good collection, so if you missed out this time—don’t worry, there’s always next year!
If you’re still on the hunt for tubers, I can highly recommend The Little Flower Stall Woodend—pop over and check out their website! Little Flower Stall Woodend | macedon ranges flowers | 1884 Mount Macedon Road, Woodend VIC, Australia
Terms & Conditions
DAHLIA TUBERS
Dahlia tubers will be available for sale in Spring. Subscribers to our email list will be notified one day prior to any public release on social media.
All varieties will appear as Sold Out until the official release date. I keep my full dahlia catalogue online year-round to serve as a reference, with new varieties added and information updated as needed. If, during the dividing process, I discover that certain varieties are unavailable for sale, they will either be marked as “Not Available This Year” or removed from the catalogue.
The amount of tubers available for each variety is unknown until eyes are clearly visible and the catalogue will be updated accordingly. This ensures you receive a viable, growing tuber. Shipping begins in October, depending on when tubers have sprouted.
If there are any issues with your order on arrival, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your package, with photos, so I can make it right. A Dahlia Growing Guide is included with every order to support your success.
Once received, however, responsibility for storage, planting, and growth is in your hands. Every garden and climate is different, and it’s important that you monitor your tubers and adjust care to suit your unique conditions. Please note that dahlia tubers should only be planted once the risk of frost has passed. In most areas of Australia, planting is recommended around the first weekend of November, but you’ll need to use your own discretion depending on your location.
All Que Sera Estate dahlia tubers are grown, harvested, divided, and packed right here on the farm. I do not on-sell or purchase from other growers — so you can be assured of both quality and accurate naming. If you have any concerns about mislabelled varieties after flowering, please get in touch.
Shipping & Handling Policy
DAHLIA TUBERS
All orders are shipped via Australia Post, carefully packed to ensure your tubers arrive safe and sound.
We currently offer flat-rate shipping based on the number of tubers:
- 1–2 tubers: $15
- 3–5 tubers: $20
- 6+ tubers: TBA
If you’re ordering 6 tubers or more, shipping will be calculated based on your location. Once your order is placed, I’ll be in touch with a quote from Australia Post before finalising payment — just to make sure you’re not paying more than you need to.
Please note: Due to quarantine restrictions, I’m unable to send dahlia tubers to Tasmania, Western Australia or the Northern Territory at this time.
FLOWER DELIVERY
Delivery available Friday and Saturday only.
We take great care to ensure your flowers are delivered in fresh, beautiful condition. If delivery is requested, your blooms will be left as per the instructions provided at checkout — so please make sure all details are correct. Once your order has been delivered, it becomes the responsibility of the recipient to care for the flowers.
Because our flowers are perishable and we often deliver without someone home, we’re unable to offer refunds after delivery has been completed.
That said, we know life happens — if something doesn’t seem right, please reach out within 24 hours of delivery. We genuinely want you to love what you receive and will always do our best to make it right.
